Michelle Jank, Australian born model turned fashion designer, creates bold, bright jewelry, too. Jank, who lives and works in Paris, says, "I like the notion of challenging people to think about adornment in different ways. I think people forget there can be more poetry in daily life." Jank finds poetry by going to antique sales and second-hand shops in search of lace and cloth that she turns into colorful collars of silk flowers. Jank makes acrylic collars too, but it's her pretty, fanciful flower collars that I like best. To see more of her collars of flowers, go to Michelle Jank's Showcase on IQONS. To see Jank's acrylic collars, check out Kabiri. The photo (left) is Jank wearing one of her lovely pieces on the streets of Paris (this photo was taken by The Sartorialist).
