Beth Teshome creates colorful, bold women's fashions that emphasize the female form. Here is a vibrant dress that Teshome created from organza and chiffon using her signature layering technique. Hanneke Paumen Felt Jewelry

Hanneke Paumen creates playful, colorful necklaces and scarves out of felt discs. Based in the Netherlands, Paumen has been making felt creations for over 15 years. The lovely necklace, made from felt-silk, is connected by bended tubes of copper (left). Below, is one of Paumen's lovely felt disc scarves. Chinese Porcelain Clothing

Chinese artist Li Xiaofeng, creates 'porcelain clothing' that is inspired by traditional Chinese art dating back to the 10th century. He sews ancient fragments of porcelain onto leather undergarments to create full-length dresses and men's jackets -- complete with neckties. The 'clothes' open on the sides or back, just like any other garment and can be worn! The Virginia Miller Gallery in Coral Gables, Florida is showing the creations of Li Xiaofeng as part of their show, Contemporary Chinese Art Born of Ancient Traditions, running through February 2009. Katherine Wardropper

Katherine Wardropper's elaborate 'wearable art' designs work equally well as adornments for the body or as wall sculptures (which she also produces along with her jewelry). Wardropper has made it into the likes of Vogue and the National Gallery in London by using a 'sculptural fabric technique' to create delicate neck jewelry out of silk ribbon. Wardropper is inspired by somber Elizabethan ruffles and grand dame collors worn by gothic empresses. Pictured here are SCULPTURAL FABRIC CHOKER (left) and NECKPIECE (right) made out of silk satin, beads and Swarovski crystals. Her intricate creations are striking.

 

     

Winter Hats of Emilie Zanon

Twenty-seven year old Paris designer Emilie Zanon showed these wonderful hats along with others at the recent City of Paris annual awards for fashion, design and craft.
