Master jewelry designer Michael Zobel is famous for creating complex patterns and colorful textured surfaces out of gold, silver, and platinum and combining the metals with unusually cut gemstones. Born in Morocco, he trained in Germany, where he now lives and has been creating dramatic, museum quality jewelry for over 30 years. The gorgeous brooch (left) is made from pink gold and platinum. A vertical line of black diamonds to the left of the pink conch pearl in the center makes this brooch look like a painting. Zobel contrasts orange coral beads and turquoise in the bold cuff (right).
